The former airfield outside St David’s is owned by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority. Parts of it have been reverting back to wildflower meadows for over twenty years now, and the summer display of ox-eye daisies, common spotted and southern marsh orchids are striking. Harvests from here will also have a range of typical meadow plants including yellow rattle, and will be suitable for dry, neutral soils around St David’s and across west Wales.
